First Brick Workout | Bike/Run
We did our first brick workout today. Our brick was a combination of Biking and Run. We’d ride our bikes for 15 minutes and then get off our bikes and run for 5 minutes. We repeated this three times without stopping. It made for a fun game and made clear that I’m going to have to get some speed laces for a quick transition from the bike to run segments of the triathlon. The pace of these workouts are in general faster than I would typically run when training for races in the past. I think this is a good thing.
This was my first time workout on a new bike. My first new bike in 16 years. The bike did great. I’d made some adjustments to my seat height earlier in the week and they seemed to be the right ones (as was verified later by an expert bike fitting at Sports Basement).
